This is where I've been hiding. Curled up in front of a gas fireplace (that is in an old coal fireplace so it doesn't have fake logs, it has fake coal).
I signed up for Create Everyday (meaning I added my name to the list - not like I paid oodles of money or sold my first born) and I haven't been posting at all, it seems. I've continued my slow slog. Very slow, but...
I've been focusing on more finishing. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of renaming my blog (or maybe my life) Always Finishing. Every time I dig a little deeper, I find more unfinished projects. But what can I say... I love a good idea.
Above is a small crib blanket I began as part of a knit group project, but then the group ended before I finished it. Dug that puppy out of a back corner and BAM! finished it.
This is a shawlette I began last winter. See... that wasn't so long ago. Found it in a corner when I was looking for something else. BAM! Finished it (and will be using it).
I would have to say that this was a case of repeatedly finishing because my little brain couldn't keep my pattern in my brain for more than a few minutes. Lots of crochet ... rip out... crochet... rip out... inch forward, step back. But somehow this doesn't bother me. After all, a shawlette is only so big and I love the action of crochet. Even if my brain doesn't always know what it's doing.
