A while ago I did many of the exercises in Heather Smith Jones' book 'Water Paper Paint' It was a fabulous introduction to the first steps of using watercolor and I enjoyed the different take on traditional exercises. I felt like I was playing, not working through a text. This doodle made me think of one of exercises - practicing layering paint.
I'm also trying different brushes.
The practice would seem more educational if I could only remember what I did and with what. As it is, each time I come to my paints I'm a blank canvas.
Which, again, is not such a bad thing.
I'm hearing lots of sirens tonight. Here's good thoughts on your safety and health.
