This is a longer post with lots of pictures. I probably shoulda broken it into stages, but heck no.
This is my spray painted little journal book. I have no idea why I made it except
IT WAS SO MUCH FREAKIN FUN!!!
And I don't use the word freakin lightly.
If you've been within 10 yards of me the last week, you've probably had this shoved in your face. I carried it around with me while it was in progress, because I kept musing on what to do next.
I realize now that I don't have any good plain straight on pictures of spreads. The pages flop and bend too much to lay flat.
But this book is as much about texture as it is about images. Below is one of the few in progress pictures I remembered to take. It was when I sprayed some canvas for the cover. I just used one for this book. The sad truth is I've made soo many sprayed pages that I'm going to need to do another book. But first I'm going to let the fumes dissipate and my head clear.
I actually did not such a bad job on the cover stitching. That's usually my downfall. Can'd do the miter well, never could. Just a personal failing I suppose. I'm not hung up on it. I'm managing my disability okay. Coping. Let's not talk about it.
I used a chain stitch for the binding, from one of Mary Ann Moss's later classes (I think ROD, maybe FTB). I just wanted something a little thicker visually since I crammed soooo many pages in my signature. I am in no way recommending this.
If it was a wallet stuffed with bills, I couldn't feel richer. SO MUCH FREAKIN FUN!
