I've been on a bit of blog hiatus that wasn't planned. Recently, my energy levels have dropped and there is only so much I can get done in a day. Various creative endeavors have continued, but photographing, downloading, editing, uploading and blah blah blah.... just haven't had it in me.
HOWEVER, I have been inspired to return to greenglass because of yet another on-line class I couldn't resist. I found Liz Steele's blog a little bit ago (maybe six months?) and then she was an instructor in sketchbook skool and I LOVED her lessons - the topic, the structure, the assignments. Just enough technical info to inspire and then fun focussed projects (tea cups and buildings). I felt inspired but not overmatched.
The first lesson is out (although I think people are still signing up), and I am NOT lunging forward into the screen gobbling up each video and outline. No, I am nibbling. Savoring.
The last couple months I've had big house projects - BIG HOUSE PROJECTS! Some of them years in the making. I am taking small steps in these BIG projects. Part of what I'm doing is jettisoning objects that I have gathered behind me, swept up in my wake. Partly I'm edging to a new living spacial arrangement to accommodate life as I know it now (maybe the things I use shouldn't be buried under three layers or tucked between X and Y). Mostly I am organizing, editing, arranging on a grander scale than I have done in, well, many many years.
I have much more to say about this, but probably best to continue when I'm not under the influence of the pills that are supposed to be helping me sleep but having managed yet.
I love having a daily post, but I don't see that happening right now. I'm hoping for every other. It might happen. And now I leave you with a shoe.]
