I began with some lines.
And I practiced bits and focused on parts. I'm trying to learn which lines are necessary and which alter the impression. Lines equal wrinkles, but how to convey shape without them with a pen? Experimenting. Not seeing and then suddenly seeing something.
Then I switched to paint. Well, all I had with me was these little sample pots from some kid project like a thousand years ago (really!) and boy, did I realize I did not know what I was doing. But I kept at these strange interstellar ladies (my girls). Even though they made me laugh with their poor blotchy skin. I did not have the right paint brush (or at least I didn't know how to use it). But I will say I learned. A lot. Maybe just some things not to do. But that's something. Hopefully I can be brave and try again tomorrow.
poor girls
That's what I like to see. Someone who uses what they have at hand. I think you did a great job.
