A week to go and I've done more than 29 faces already. However, I feel like I'm just getting into the faces I wanted to focus on, so I'm plugging away. Lots of good practice to get me to this spot, I'm not giving up now.
Two tries from the same photo.
I take it as a given that if I had better control, I would make the proportions correct to give the childish look. My strokes would be firmer and more intentional. I would know where to shade. But how do I learn these things? Practice practice practice. So lots of mis-takes, which make me happy.
Two years ago, I had no sense of what to do where. Now, even when I make wrong choices, I feel like they're mine. I'm really glad I have given this challenge a try.
